Being woken up at 5 am to their TV was annoying (to put it lightly). One snored (sounding like a chainsaw), and the other must fall asleep to the TV. Staying in room 702, I could *clearly* hear my neighbours on either side. On the other hand, the walls are paper thin and resulted in numerous distractions and sleep disruptions. On one hand, the service from all the staff I interacted with (including the wait staff in the Plaza Restaurant) was excellent.
The Sheraton Capitol Square is a mixed bag for me. Too many options in downtown Columbus and for the price I know there's better service provided at other establishments. Personally would not stay at this hotel again. When vehicle was returned to us it wasn't running properly & actually stalled out while we were trying to leave. Was double charged for parking (noticed later on bill). Made another "special" request for scotch tape, stated was wiling to tip for this special request. Had to call guest services twice for a fridge. Thank you!īasic, dated rooms with some damaged furniture. Every single person I interact with has been so kind. This has been one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. And the breakfast is more than just eggs and bacon. So if you're in this area just find a holiday inn. We all had a wonderful experience when we stayed at a Holiday inn for my wedding. My mother in law's pillows and bed sheets smelled musky and they too had back problems.
And it wouldn't adjust when they dropped the temperature. The temperature was 87 degrees in their room. Might I also add that my in laws stayed as well and their heating and cooling wasn't working properly. This Sheraton in Columbus square needs to reevaluate some things. I'm pretty sure hospitality is a criteria for a hotel. Clean hotel room and a comfy bed with knowledgeable and friendly staff. If I'm going to spend the money to stay in a Sheraton I'd expect 5 star. Not to mention we had breakfast included only to be told the wrong times for breakfast and missed it on the second day by 8 minutes. You could even see indents where people had slept. I'm pretty sure I'm too young for back pain. For a suite you'd expect fluffy pillows and a comfy surface. Our mattress was also the stiffest mattress I've ever been on. We got a king suite for our stay since it was just the two of us.Įverything was great when we first got here. I stayed here for the weekend for my husband's attorney ceremony. Only downside, is that they do not serve breakfast in the mornings. There was a street pretty close by that had a bunch of food stores. The place had plenty of places to go to, inside and outside.

Plus the lobby was always bustling and was looking good. Sheraton was a great place to hang out at. It is right next to the capitol building, which is nice to walk around. Location is good, but not too many cool/hip places to walk to. The showers in particular could use an update. Very dated hotel rooms but the view was nice and bed comfy. Only concern was that they had lost some of my info at check-in, but they accommodated my request as soon as I reminded them. Clean, comfortable, professionally run, great location. I would definitely return to visit, stay, or dine.Įxcellent business hotel. Everything was clean, and again, the staff were awesome. Food was amazing as we attended the mystery detective dinner for a work christmas party. It was awesome! Staff was nice and attentive at the bar.
